Tattoo help!! Im almost 18.?

i turned 18 last year and thought i really wanted a tattoo because i was old enough to get one. but, then i realized that i will be old enough to get one for the rest of my life! so i decided to wait until i knew that i wanted one for an actual reason other than getting one just because i could anyways, if youre dead set on getting one as soon as you are legally able to make sure it is something that actually is meaningful to you. like, i was going to get a penguin because it was my cousin who passed away's favorite animal. also, before getting one, think of the profession you want to go in to. most do not like tattoos that are visible. try to get it in a place that can be easily covered up if necessary! sorry about the lecture. it was just some things i thought about before getting one.
