Why is baseball not more popular?

Is it because of soccer! Oh, it's growing already on par with hockey for the most part and if it continues to grow at this rate it might just surpasse baseball in the near future. I not saying soccer(football) will be as popular as american 'football', but soccer is more popular in america than NFL is popular than europe. Also you can't say europeans are pansies when they play the toughest sport in the planet, Rugby. Soccer growing in america is certain while sports like baseball and hockey are doomed to be forgotten. I feel sad for baseball since I am a fan of the game. Any opinions are welcomed.
