Interracial relationship?

i'm nigerian and my boyfriend is white and i've been in love with him for 2 years. my mom refuses to accept him because she saw a picture of us holding eachother. she is heavily christian, am a christian and so is he but she will not over look the fact that he is nigerian.. how do i get her to see things differently.. her way of thinking and see this is "iif you marry a white man he will leave you 'divorce' you" yes it happens alot in america but i want her to see things differently. please help me
