WHAT SHOULD HE IDEALLY HAVE DONE?I FELT BAD?

Ok so dis guy i had a crush on supposedly thought i was obsessed with him .i actually was far from being dat i am a 20 year old mature person and i dont have the time to obsess over someone.so i would message him on and off and that continued for like over a year because i thought he was single and so maybe i could talk to him.never in this 1 year did he reply back ,aftera year i got to noe he was in a relationship and was freaked out abt me n everything.so i asked me y didnt he tell me all dis and dat he was in a relationship despite me telling him i had a crush on him .he just lead me on how was i supposed to noe dat he was getting freaked out n everything?y didnt he just tell me all dat so i apparently felt foolish for doing all dis and he ame across as a pansy jerk who couldnt even solve his own problems and just had fun with all the attention he was getting,never did he apologize infact i did apologize.y do you think he didnt respond for like a year .he just totally ignored me and i didnt noe y he was ignoring a randomn person fr no apparent fault of mine.
